Sexy Shoe Diaries - Part 16

If you have been following Shoe Friday from when I used to just post it on my Facebook page, then you might recognize these...I also have them in red. That was when I was being smart and buying two of a great shoe. Also, back when I could afford it, before I decided to self-publish my novel, Blow Me. These YSL black patent open toe platform heels with criss-cross straps are the perfect date shoe.

When you're running around in your flipflops getting toes painted silver, and that cute guy who knew the right way to hit on you at the gym calls to meet you for an impromptu coffee, you can instantly look date-worthy with a swipe of lip gloss and these sexy stilettos.

If you like my shoes, you'll love my book. Blow Me is the story of three single girls living in Los Angeles and is the perfect holiday read. You can download it on Amazon Kindle or find other places to buy it by checking out my website.

Let’s Hear It For The Tan

I was recently on vacation in the sun, and I have the tan lines to prove it. Despite the fact that sitting in the sun is now bad for us (talk about an ill-spent youth), I enjoy having a bit of a glow to my skin. It makes me look and feel healthy. However, I hate tan lines. I prefer to tan topless, or ideally, in the buff. Unfortunately, most places don’t permit nude or topless sunbathing. Could we be a little more of an uptight society? If men can take their shirts off in public, why can’t women?

Sexy Shoe Diaries - Part 15

Well, here I am again, the real Carrie Bradshaw, showing off my insane shoe collection.

These are one of my favorites.... a YSL bootie in grey fabric that has just a little sliver shimmer in it. I can't help feeling sexy and stylish wearing these.

Highly recommend all women get something like this. It's the perfect date shoe. You can dress them up or wear them with jeans to movie. And, you'd be surprised at how comfortable platform shoes are.

If you like my shoes, please check out the rest of my blog, and also check out Blow Memy Sex and the City style novel situated in Los Angeles. You can click on the book cover to the right of this post or buy it through my author website.

You’re Not My Friend Anymore

As a kid, I grew up in a very Brady neighborhood. Thinking back, it bore an uncanny resemblance to the back lot of Universal Studios—minus the big pond with the shark from Jaws. After school, the neighborhood kids would gather on one of the many cul-de-sacs to play until their mothers called or fathers whistled that it was time for dinner.

Once in a while, a couple of kids would get in a fight over Freeze Tag rules, or someone cheating in a game of Hide and Go Seek. The host of the party, the one whose lawn we were using as a playing field, would then declare to his newfound nemesis “You’re not my friend anymore. Get off my property.” There would be a little pushing and shoving, and ultimately the play date would end with everyone feeling uncomfortable. Such disagreements would often linger a few days, until someone needed another kid for a game of Red Rover. The feuding kids would end up on the same team, be forced to work out their differences, and go back to being friends again.

Sexy Shoe Diaries - Part 14

These black Prada suede pumps were a gift from one of the men I dated a while back. While the relationship didn't work out, the shoes are a keeper—a classic black pump that I will have for years. At least he was good for something, 'cause he wasn't that great in bed. And I said I never kiss and tell! But did I say we kissed?!?

I post a pair of shoes from my collection every Friday, and my other blogs post on Friday and Wednesday.

I'm the real Carrie Bradshaw right down to the shoes. If you like what you see here, check out my novel "Blow Me"on my author website. You can get the nook version on Barnes&Noble and the Kindle version on Amazon.

Hamster In A Wheel

Another year is drawing to a close and I can’t help but be pleased with myself when I look back on 2011. A lot has happened personally and professionally. I knocked two things off my bucket list: going to the Australian Open and going to Wimbledon. I also published my first novel, acquired nearly 4000 Facebook friends, made a few awesome new girlfriends, and dated some pretty decent men. Real contenders. That’s why you didn’t hear me bitching too much about my terrible dating life. I don’t write about the good ones. I just blog about the fuckers who deserve it!

I also took a two-week mandatory vacation to Kauai (doctor’s orders—I love my doctor!). It was the first two-week vacation I’ve had in over 20 years. Now I understand why people take vacations. To unwind, but also to stop running for a moment, take in your environment and see if you like where you’re headed. Or, to see if you're just running in one spot.
